Since our childhood, most of us have had it engrained in our heads to "turn the lights off when you leave the room!" I...
Phil was born in Jackson, MI and spent the vast majority of his childhood in Lansing, MI playing every sport imaginable in stiff competition with his two brothers and local friends. Baseball was his first love and high aspirations eventually led him to Grand Valley State University where he failed to make the varsity team and eventually settled on Electrical Engineering as a close second for a career choice.
He stayed in the Grand Rapids area after college and met his wife, Beth, playing in MPVA beach volleyball tournaments along Michigan's beautiful western lakeshore. They have two awesome boys, ages 4 and 7, who fill their home and lives with "excitement", both currently aspiring to be superheroes when they grow up. Beth and Phil are both very active with the boys at their church and school (Parish of the Holy Spirit) with Phil serving on the school's Board of Directors and leading the Mission Effectiveness Committee.
God's career choice of Electrical Engineering for Phil has proven to be perfect for his "Type A" personality. The requirements for the utmost attention to detail, organization, code proficiency, and industry best practice research, have satisfied his competitive spirit. Further, the relationships built being part of a design process with Owners, Constructors, Engineers, and Architects are like a team's pursuit of perfect working order. He looks most forward to meeting new clients and maintaining a friendship with the one's he has already had the pleasure of working with.
