Bronson LakeView Hospital wanted to improve emergency service delivery and response times to its local community in Paw Paw, Michigan. Working closely with administration and staff, Diekema Hamann developed a plan to double capacity from 6 treatment bays to 12 treatment bays through 3 phases of construction. The entire renovation was planned within the walls of the existing hospital while maintaining complete operations throughout all phases. The project improves throughput, increases visibility, and creates a unified department environment.

Phase 1 converted an existing office, training areas, and locker space into 5 additional treatment bays. Additionally, a new break room, locker room, and support nurse station were created. In Phase 2, the nurses temporarily moved into the newly renovated space while construction began on a new central nurse station. During Phase 3, 2 open treatment bays were converted into 3 private, enclosed treatment bays.

Project Includes

  • 6 New, Enclosed Treatment Bays
  • New Central Nurse Station
  • New Support Nurse Station
  • New Locker Room
  • New Break Room
