Steve Dickerson Named Principal of Diekema Hamann



Diekema Hamann would like to announce the promotion of Steve Dickerson, AIA to a principal of the firm.  Steve joins Norman Hamann, Jr., AIA, Vicki Nelson, AIA, Valerie Wright, Nathan Jones, PE and Andrew Becker, PE as principals of Diekema Hamann.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science with distinction from Ball State University. He holds over 27 years of extensive healthcare design and planning. His focuses include medical space planning, emergency departments, ambulatory surgery centers, and integrated operating rooms.

During his employment as Project Manager with Diekema Hamann, Steve has been a leader on DHAE’s healthcare design team managing such projects as the Veterans Affairs Ann Arbor Ambulatory Care Unit, Veterans Affairs Battle Creek Recreation and Therapy, Bronson Battle Creek Emergency Department Renovation, and Spectrum Endoscopy.

Steve has presented on topics “Diagnosing Your Emergency Department”, “Simulation Center Design”, “Design for Efficiency, Certification, Licensure, Accreditation”, and “Ambulatory Surgery Center: To Build or Renovate”.

Steve states, “It’s an honor to be part of the Diekema Hamann team.  The staff has always impressed me with their strong work ethic and with their high level of dedication towards creating successful projects.  It’s also an honor to be part of a firm that has been in business since 1919!  I look forward to celebrating our 100 year anniversary and using my passion for medical design to expand Diekema Hamann’s healthcare planning services during its second century in business!”
