Diekema Hamann Architecture was selected as the local architect for this $175 million project in association with architects Shepley Bulfinch Richardson and Abbott of Boston.

Diekema Hamann's prime involvement in Phase I included the tunnel connection, design of all interior suites and construction observation for the medical office building. Phase II, an Inpatient Pavilion for which Diekema Hamann provided construction observation, is also complete.

Diekema Hamann provided interior design services for the 26 medical practices suites within the Medical Office Pavilion, including coordination of inventory and space-planning for re-use of existing furniture. DHA was also retained to inventory all existing furniture within the existing hospital, and coordinate space-planning for reuse within the facility.

Project Includes

  • 136,000-square-foot Medical Office Building (125 offices)
  • Ambulatory Care Center of 183,000 square feet, including a state-of-the-art surgery center, outpatient diagnostic and treatment facility and a garden atrium and food court
  • Tunnel connection between existing and new campuses
  • 750-space parking structure
