Project Brief

The Installation of Mobile Boiler Hookup Connections at the VA Medical Center in Detroit, MI is a project to setup the necessary utility connections to accept a temporary mobile boiler installation. A mobileboiler will be used in the event of catastrophic failure of the permanent facility boilers or during multiple boiler maintenance shutdowns.

Utilities will be roughed-in and prepared for final hook-up of a mobile boiler unit. Utility rough-in connections will include natural gas, fuel oil, boiler feed-water, boiler blowdown, steam supply, and power. Inaddition to the utility rough-in work, additional pipe labeling will be added to the natural gas and fuel oil piping within the lower level Water Service and Storage (Old Incinerator) Rooms.
