Hillsdale Community Schools commissioned Diekema Hamann Architecture to conduct a building study of their Middle School and three Elementary Schools. Hillsdale has had a decrease in student enrollment over the past several years and requested the study to address concerns of the age and condition of the facilities. The district also wanted to incorporate technology needs into the study.

  • The study considered the following:
  • Probable Construction
  • Site Conditions
  • Interior Condition
  • Mechanical Systems
  • Technology
  • Building Shell Condition
  • Code Issues
  • Electrical Systems
  • ADA / Barrier-Free Issues

Based on recommendations developed as part of a district-wide facilities study, Diekema Hamann was engaged to design a new elementary school that would consolidate the three existing elementary schools in the district.

During the preliminary bond preparation process, Diekema Hamann has helped the district by providing design services for various renovation projects in their existing schools including: theater lighting replacement, plumbing system replacement, and new toilet rooms.

Project Includes

  • Facility Study
  • Pre-Bond Preparation
  • Interior Renovations
